Chess is a game that challenges and checks the reasoning and problem-solving ability of a person. It helps to build up confidence and strategic planning skills, besides training the mind to concentrate and stay focused. Parents prefer that their children learn to play the game and attain excellence in it. However, it may not be possible for every parent to train the child himself. So they may look for alternatives such as engaging a coach or even choosing virtual chess classes. Nowadays, it is quite common to opt for online chess classes and learn this incredible skill.

Chess is an interesting game that keeps the players involved and enhances their thinking abilities. Though there are different versions and levels to play and learn the game, it is advisable to explore exciting twists in traditional chess games. Let us look at some of how the game of chess can be made more interesting and involving:

1. Bughouse: In this variant of chess, the players organize themselves in teams of two and play as two teams on two separate chessboards. There are goals to be won and defeating the other team by occupying places and bagging enemy pieces, and taking turns to place them in empty places.

2. Crazy house: Another modified version of chess involves reintroducing the captured pawns when your tune comes. It helps to enjoy a new variant of the regular method of playing chess. While the conventional rules of playing chess apply, the change comes in the way moves are made. The changeover in dropping and capturing the pawns brings freshness to the traditional way of playing chess.

3. 3-Check: Another interesting deviation of the game of chess is challenging the opponent by giving a check as many times as possible and winning the game. The culmination of the game can be in a traditional manner with a checkmate or timeout, but if a player can check the opponent’s king three times, the game is won.

4. King of the Hill: A fascinating version of the game of chess is King of the Hill, commonly addressed as KOHL. The target is to get the king on top of the hill, which is any of the four squares in the center of the board. Any side which succeeds in getting the king of the opponent there is declared the winner.

5. Chess 960: Commonly known as Fischer Random, the game includes shuffling the pieces randomly without changing places of the bishops and the kings. This variant allows standard rules of castling to continue along with standard chess techniques.
